Common Questions About the Savaria Eclipse

We want you to feel completely informed about integrating a traditional elevator into your property. Here are answers to the most common questions.

  • Does the Eclipse require a deep concrete pit?

While the Eclipse does require a standard hoistway (shaft), it only needs a minimal 8-inch pit at the bottom. This makes it much easier and less expensive for your builder to integrate into the foundation.

  • What makes a Machine-Room-Less (MRL) elevator better?

Older hydraulic elevators require you to build a separate closet or room just to hold a large, noisy motor and oil tank. MRL technology conceals the motor inside the shaft itself, saving you valuable floor space.

  • Can I customize the interior of the elevator?

Absolutely. The Eclipse offers incredible customization. You can choose from unfinished MDF (to let your own contractor match your home's trim), premium hardwood veneers, stainless steel fixtures, or even automatic sliding doors.
